Wow, hardly ever. I buy in bulk. I have all his clothes up to 2T and won't be buying anymore until he grows out of them.... unless it's for a special occasion or I missed something. Maybe it's because I have a boy?

When I see a really good sale, I go a little nuts. So once every few months. I rarely buy something for his current size, usually for the bigger sizes I know his wardrobe will be lacking.
Well before DH got laid off, both of my kids had more clothes than they could even wear before growing out of them. It was pretty bad. I'm a shopoholic.
But lately I've been having to rein myself in a little, as we're on a pretty tight budget right now.
Surprisingly, I have pretty good self-restraint in this area. I mostly just buy her what she needs and try to buy on sale. My mom's actually called me cheap, but I don't see the need in going nuts spending money on clothes she'll grow out of in just a few months. She does have a steady influx of cute clothes from my very generous mom and sister, though.
I am buying her new clothes constantly. But every few months I try to hit the good sales at Baby Gap (or something) and get a bunch of clothes in the next size up.
I hardly ever do because my mom does sooooooooooooooo often!! She is comign this weekend and I'm sure we will be stocking up on things for the summer. We'll take stock of her closet now before heading out though to see what she has in sizes for the summer.
Every time I'm in a store that has baby clothes, pretty much. And she really doesn't need anything else at all - she'll never wear EVERYTHING in her closet now. I need an intervention.
ALL.THE.TIME. Like pp I justify it by buying the next size up so I am planning ahead

Too often. I would rather shop for DD's clothes than for anything else (even for clothes for me). I am pretty good about only buying stuff that's on good sale, though--unless there's something so cute I can't resist.
Almost never because my freaking dad and stepmom buy SO SO much stuff for them. It's completely absurd -- I'm taking 6 outfits per kid every visit, and I see them every 4-6 weeks.
I'm totally grateful, don't get me wrong. They just have way too many clothes!!
Almost never. We got a TON of totally adorable barey worn/unworn clothes as hand-me-downs from my sister and a coworker. Really the only things we buy are sleepers and onesies that are too cute to pass up, and occasionally an outfit for something special, or because I just can't pass it up.

On a as needed basis: like he needed more pj bc he had outgrown them and a special outfit for his baptism...otherwise we got a ton of bigger sizes from out showers.
So I would say about once or twice a month I buy an item or two.
Twice a week or so. ?I only shop for him online and I buy him clothes constantly. ?Everytime a new line comes out at Janie and Jack or Gymboree, I buy stuff. ?That's every 3 weeks, I think. ??
I buy a lot but not THAT often. I tend to make HUGE shopping trips at the beginning of a season / size and then I have SO much, I don't shop again until the next season / size. So, I guess I stock up a lot. I have favorite stores (Best & Company, Bonpoint, Jacadi, Windmill kids, Papo D'anjo, Crewcuts) where I tend to buy most of her clothes and most of them are not like some of the major chains that get new things in every few weeks. So, at Best & Co, I'll stock up when their new season's collection comes in and then I'm done until the next one arrives ~5-6 months later.
I do love all these crazy sales though and since I don't buy any trendy stuff for my daughter, I will stock up on future sizes (like a year done the road) with some of the sales that are happening all the time. I just did that yesterday with Best & Co when I got an email about a 30-50% off sale so I bought 2-3 year sized items....
Re: be honest how often do you buy DC clothes?
Way too often!!!
Depends......
I'll average it out and say every other week.
Basically every single time I am in a store that sells baby clothes. I think I need serious help.

Almost every weekend.... she never even has a chance to wear all of it. I know it is stupid but I cannot help myself.
I buy DD something every week. I can't pass up little girls clothes..it's my weakness.
