NBR: My Poor Kitty

Bella had to go to the vet the other day so we kept her inside.  She's an indoor/outdoor cat who usually goes out during the day and comes in when we get home in the evening.  She also greatly prefers doing her business al fresco, but I keep a litter box for days that she has to be inside.  Anyway she didn't use the litter box all day, I guess she would rather hold it than go in a box :)  The vet mentioned how full her bladder was, but that was it - no big deal.

The appointment went well, but on the way home all hell broke loose.  DS was tired and hungry so he was wailing.  The cat I guess couldn't hold it anymore and peed in her crate.  She then attempted to bury it and when she couldn't started freaking out, wailing and flailing all over her crate - this made ds cry even harder.  When we finally got home she was covered in pee and the only thing to do was give her a bath.

I could hear her screaming through the shut bathroom door as dh bathed her.  The poor baby looked so scrawny and miserable afterwards and she was so pissed at dh that she wouldn't even look at him for two days.  Poor kitty.

Re: NBR: My Poor Kitty

  • Awww poor thing!  My parents have two cats and they hate the car so much that whenever they take them to vet they freak out and poop and throw up in the car.  So my mom can sympathize for sure!! Thank God my kitty is pretty good about it- she just whines.

  • Aw, yes a wet cat is a pathetic sight.  In my old condo I had a fireplace - I never used it, but the previous owners did and my white cat would claw the screen over just enough to crawl in and nap.  Everytime she did I had to bathe her to get all the soot off.  Poor kitty!
