my mother went into labor when she was (her words) 'tight as a drum'. her water broke and had contractions that came on really fast. she never dilated so had a c-section in the end. ugh. but she DID go into labor even though no progress had been made! baby wanted out and was just having trouble looking for an exit route...

You never know... my mom had me 1 day before her due date with me. Maybe your cervix will surprise you?

Congrats! And, you never know! You could have baby in less than a week...

My friend was 3cm dilated with her son for almost three weeks before she went into labor! (He was over a week late). And they thought she might go early... With her daughter, she was not even a fingertip dilated at her 39 or 40 week appt (can't remember which) and was in active labor less than 24 hours later, had the baby 36 hours later.

So, that's what I have to say about "progress". Hehhe.

Me, too: I looked at my Pregnology 'days to go page' when there was a big, fat 0, aaaaand.....nothin'. Yep. It clicked over to "-1 Days to Go" today. Oh well...I guess baby's going to come out when he's good and ready!?
