We have a Baby Bjorn Active, but now DD seems too big for it... 19 lbs. ?For our longer walks and hikes, I think my husband and I would be more comfortable with using a backpack carrier. ?Has anyone found one that they like? ?I'm interested in possibly one of the Kelty or the new Phil & Teds. ?
Re: Recommend your backpack carrier please...
I looked into the framed carriers, but decided to go for the Ergo instead. ? Lily loves it and even my DH enjoys wearing her.

we have a less expensive Evenflo one, and it is just as nice as my friends Kelty, the only thing it didn't have was the canopy and a mirror to see baby
Both things I can live without and wasn't willing to pay $125 more for!. Here is one on ebay, I got mine used...

i use a framed backpack carrier and i love it.
they dont make the one i have anymore but if you can find it on ebay (i've seen a few) or craigslist, it would totally be worth the time you spend hunting one down.
its the Snugli Cross Terrain carrier. It looks like this:

That hood comes off and despite the looks, it is very light and not bulky feeling at all.?

ETA: why the hell doesnt PIP work for me anymore when i type in the tags? it used to! anyway, just C&P that url if you want to see it.
?
We got the 2 Kelty ones available at sierratradingpost.com- got great deals on them too! Looks like they only have the smaller TC 1.0 available right now though.
