Is vaseline cloth diaper safe?

I don't think I've ever seen info on this.  I would assume that it's not CD safe but I thought I would check.  Thanks :)

    There was a big article (might still be there) on the front page at www.diaperpin.com saying that petroleum jelly IS cloth safe.  That said, I'd rather be safe than sorry.  I definitely would not use it without a liner in my pockets, but if I was really desperate I might on my prefolds.  But I'd say it's safer to use a liner.
