Well my water broke at 12:49am on May 20 (10 days early)...the day DH predicted we would have the baby.
We got to the hospital and I was only 2 cm and 70% effaced, but I needed to deliver in 24 hours from my membranes being ruptured.
They got us into a birthing suite and started me on Pitocin and got me set up with an epidural. Labor was easy from there on; we actually got bored. I some break through pain at the end, but nothing compared to going without.
Well, a doctor came in,felt my belly, and tells me my baby is big and I might not be able to deliver vaginally. Total surprise to me.
Well, around 6 I feel the urge to push. They check me, and I'm fully dilated.
I pushed for over 2 hours. I was the hardest thing I ever did in my whole life. My mom and DH were awesome. However, she is big, so her head got stuck. They performed an episiotomy and got it out. Then her shoulder got stuck, and everything practically jumped on me to help get her out. They called NICU to check her out, which terrified my mom. However, she finally came out!!
I was so tired I could barely see. We spent some time with her bonding and feeding, then let the nurses take her to the nursery. I decided it would be best for me to sleep, so I could better take care of her today.
Here's my big girl:
Isabella Ann
8 lbs, 4 oz
Here's a very tired Mommy and Daddy with our new baby:
She looks like such a combination of DH and me! We love her so much.
P.S. The Russian lady resident ended up delivering our baby!!! She was wonderful, as were all the medical staff involved!!!

Things I did different with this pregnancy:
1. Waited TTC until after I had 3 normal menstrual cycles.
2. Got a new OB - amazing man who listened!
3. 200 mg progesterone until 12 weeks
4. Daily lovenox injections
Yeah! Congrats! (You look great, btw). Isabella is so cute.
I'm glad that you didn't have to have a C. (I got worried at the point in the story when the doc said she may be too big to deliver vaginally).
Congrats!!!
