Babies: 9 - 12 Months

***carrann82***

I'm so glad to see someone else's 6 month+ child only taking 4 oz.  I swear DS will never take more than 4 oz.  I'm never going to need the 3 unopened packages of big bottles still in is closet.  There was no point to this- other than you made me feel better about myself!

  • I am glad I am not the only one either!! I have tried and tried to give her more milk, space out her feedings. ?Nothing works! ?That is just the way she is.

Someone I know flipped out when I told her my DD only drank 4 oz at a time and told me that she should be drinking 8 oz. ?Really? ?You try feeding her!!

I've tried more than 4 oz. Either DS won't take it or he pukes it all over.  No thanks. I'll stick with the 4 oz I can keep in him vs. 6 oz that I wear.  People are shocked all the time too.  Last night I was with a 6 week old that out eats my 6 month old. My pedi & GI are concerned - I'm trying not too be either.  The way I figure when you add up total ozs it's close to the same.  I just have to feed my kid more often.
  • ::butting in:: to say the DS only takes 4 oz at a time still too!
  • also butting in....same with us!

  • Plus I am not going to force feed my child. ?For obvious reasons and it would just make it worse.
  • butting in too...we've made it to almost a year and DD has never taken more than 4.5oz in a bottle.  The stupid big bottles were such a waste!
