Zoey update - Home for two weeks so far!

Let me start by saying that I have a whole new appreciation for parenting after just two weeks with Zoey at home. It's a whirlwind of smiling, confusion, sleep deprivation, and joy. I went back to work part-time on Monday, which went better than I thought. I am so thankful to have my DH home with Zoey. He is doing really great with her, especially without the NICU audience watching over his shoulder. Zoey has seen her Pediatrician (I love him!), has had follow up with the ROP clinic, has her evaluation for EI services on Thursday, and already met with her surgeon for follow up yesterday. Her four month check up is already right around the corner. She weighs 6 lbs. 3 oz.!!! I can still remember praying for her to reach 2 lbs., then 3 lbs., and so on. She actually already grew out of the preemie clothes for the most part, and moved on to size 1 diapers. I love sharing good news with this board. You all energize me! Have an awesome Wednesday! i'm so excited for you! i was wondering how it was going. that first month-6 weeks is the roughest. it gets easier and more rewarding every single day. yay zoey!!!

It really is so incredibly heartwarming to see how good Zoey is doing. I remember when 6lbs seemed HUGE! Now that you're home, hold on, time will start flying! She's a doll - such a cute picture - looks so much like Aubrey did at that point! Thanks for the update!
