I threw some $$ out the window...

...and bought the Walgreens gender predictor - Intelligender.

My good friend pressured me for fun to test it out.  Her other preg friend did it and it said biy so we are waiting to see the results.  Adding my result will add to her at home clinical trial to test the 80% claim.  (Her sister is preg and next)

The earliest you can take it is 10 weeks so I was waiting to be firmly within the time frame.  Will let you all know the results.  It has a 50-50 chance right?

    This is exactly what I said to another friend who wanted to do it.  I get it. That is why I titled the post as such.  But, just doing it for fun.  Like the string or draino test just for $30.  Its my $$ right?

    Kinda like buying a bunch o lottery tickets but the odds of a win/correct answer are far better. Somewher between 50-80 as opposed to 1 in 16 million.

    Some people spend lots of $$ on HPTs only to take them 9 dpo when the chance of a positive is like 10%.  We all choose our forms of entertainment.

    Wow did you think about doing the blood test one.  heck its only $129.  thought i would ask since you are throwing money out window.

    Ha Ha, let us know how it goes. I spent $2.50 on ebay for a lady to predict the gender, she predicted girl. We will found out in a few months if she was right.

    dare i ask what the heck is on ebay to get them to tell you sex of baby.  we will find out in 15 days.....

    I am rolling the dough so I may as well send you all money. ;)

    BTW - My stepmom is a psychic medium (no lie - gets messages from beyond - or so she claims.  And she makes a living as such.  She told me as my sister we were having boys.  We both have girls.  So much for Crossing over with my Stepmom.

    It claims a 90% success rate, not a 50% one... I would do it if they explained how it works and I could verify that it is possible based on hormone levels.  It just doesn't make sense- testosterone is the only thing that could be measurable and I just don't buy that it would show up in the urine so early!

    I think the claim is 80%.  I just mentioned 50% because even if it is crap at least it has a 50% ssucess rate because anything would.

    Testostreone is what it says they measure.  And, I just read in "What to Expect.." that a baby boys testes start producing testosterone right around 10 weeks - when they claim the test starts being accuraate.  As far as its ability to get in urine -- who knows.
