DD is now in a convertible carseat. I have to put it in my DH's vehicle tomorrow....but I need one of those seatbelt clips deals to lock the belt. Where do I get them?
If you are speaking of a locking clip, it should come with your carseat. It should be attached on the back of the seat somewhere. If your talking about an aftermarket belt tightener, like the Mighty Tite, they are not recommended and can actually damage your seat belts making them less effective. Also, you only need the locking clip with certain types of seat belts. Check you carseat and car manuals to determine if you actually need it.

Yeah, the manual said if I can pull the seatbelt out and it doesn't lock then I need one. In my vehicle, I use the latch system....but for some reason DH's doesn't have it (and it is a 2008). If I read the manual right, I don't need a clip (and no, I didn't see one with the seat itself) if it is front facing and we use the teather. She is obviosuly still refacing....but maybe I should just turn her frontward for the trip. We are only going about 2 hours.
I just looked at that"Might Tite" and that is not what I was talking about. This is just a locking clip.....very plain item.
Please, Please, Please do not turn your daughter forward facing. She is not ready physically, She should remain rear facing until at least age 2. What seat do you have? I can see if I can figure out where it would be located on the seat. All car seats MUST come with one. What kind of car does DH have? All cars produced after 2003, must also have latch. They may only be in out board positions and may be difficult to reach but he has them.

We have the Eddie Bauer Deluxe 3 in 1. I just read the manual again and it said I had to buy the clip. Maybe I will just call their 800 number.
My Dh has a 2008 Ford F250 Super Duty. It does NOT have the latch system....not even on the outboard positions. I thought I was crazy and even took it to the Fire Dept and they also said it didn't have it.

That is beyond bizarre. The only thing I can think is if they have different rules on trucks. I post often on a Car seat safety board I'm going to ask over there and see what they say. I do know that BRU carries extra locking clips. I know I have seen them for Graco car seats and I believe the Eddie Bauer. I would try and call them and see. Also, the customer service line should be able to help you. When I have more info I'll PM you or page you.
