he's still here! and new siggy pic.
grayden is 1 week old today! bmom seems to be doing better and we are enjoying as much time with him as God chooses to give us....pretty scary weekend, it looked like for sure she was going to end up parenting but so far so good! thanks for your continued prayers!

What an adorable picture!
I was reading some info about adoption in my province, and it says that the majority of birth mothers who change their mind will do so within the first few days after giving birth (maybe something to do with hormones?) In fact, here, I don't beleive they will send an infant to live with the adoptive family until its a week old.
The POINT is, I'm hoping that since you've passed this crucial point, and that even though BM has wavered, she hasn't changed her mind yet, that you're starting to enter a more " safe" zone. At least that is my hope for you!
BTW...is Grayden the name you originally wanted, or did you end up changing it to please BM? Just being nosey :P

when it came down to finally make a decision on his name DH and I came up with 4 names we loved and asked her to help us narrow it down to 2 and then we ended up choosing Grayden from there! So no, it wasnt the one we first presented to her but now we cant picture him as any other name! it just fits him!

How big was he at birth? He looks like a good size, but I guess it's hard to tell from pictures!

yes, you are right he was 8-10 at birth and 21.5 inches! they finally determined that he was 41+weeks gestation....long over cooked but perfect in every way..we prayed for a full-term, healthy, plump baby and we got it, praise God! he is currently 8-4 and working his way back up quickly.!!

Katie, I spent about an hour today reading your blog...and I am AMAZED by your story...I never knew about your recent struggles with the loss of your little guy and your illnesses....you are really incredible!!! ( and you have GREAT HAIR!!
