Anyone know of any Moms groups in the area? Have you gone to any of the lapsit stuff at the local libraries? Just looking to get out more now that the weather is nicer!

I live in Harrison Twp, so not too far from Chesterfield. Have you gone to Meetup.com? There is a great Moms group on there called Macomb Moms. They literally have something scheduled every day on their calendar so you're bound to find something to do.
Library lapsits are fantastic! DS & I actually just got home from ours not too long ago. I've been taking DS to different ones since he was about 6 months old. Just check different library websites & look @ their calendars. You usually have to register for them & they're about 1/week, for a 1/2 hour. We usually go to the ones through the Clinton-Macomb Public Library.
Aside from those, there's always the play areas @ Partridge Creek or Metro Beach. Plus, Metro Beach has an awesome squirt (splash?) zone! I can't wait to take DS back to that- he was a bit too young last year. There's also George George Park, which I am a HUGE fan of (near Cass & Groesbeck- on Moravian). It's GORGEOUS!
I actually just signed up for Macomb Moms today. We'll see how that goes. Do you belong?
I looked at the Clinton-Macomb activities. The Main Branch seems to have the most to offer. Is that the one you go to? I might give that a try next go-round.
Yep, I belong to Macomb Moms although I haven't been in ages. Once DS started walking & playing, it seemed like we were able to just find stuff to fo on our own. That group was fantastic when he was younger, though, because none of my friends had kids so I had no clue where to even look for things to do!
We do go to the Main branch for story time. I also used to take DS to the branch that's on 24 (?) Mile. But that got a bit too far to drive, so now we just go to Main. That library is GORGEOUS & huge! Yesterday was the last day for the session & I believe the next session starts @ the end of June but I'd have to look on the calendar to see when registration begins.
