Anyone have Motherhood's maternity shaper?

Think I may need something to wear under a few dresses. Anyone have their shaper? Or one from someplace else? How do you like it? Are they comfortable?

Re: Anyone have Motherhood's maternity shaper?

  • I bought this one from motherhood?Impulsively since it was?by the register. ?Its nice to hide?cellulite?under certain cotton dresses but i must confess I haven't actually worn it out or all day yet just tried it on to see with some dresses. Its not too uncomfortable and it dose smooth things out nicely. Thats about all i can say about it now though.?

  • I'm glad you posted this. I almost bought this today at MM to wear under my dresses for the rest of the summer. The dresses are just so flimsy...

I think I'll bite the bullet and go tomorrow.

  • I actually bought both the Motherhood brand and the Spanx brand.  I actually prefer the Motherhood brand over the Spanx.  Both are extremely comfortable.  The only problem with the Spanx is the fact that the belly panel is very, very thin- think stocking material.  Because of this, I put my fingernail throught it the very first time I wore them.  $40 down the drain.  I was able the put some clear polish on it and wear them but unfortunately I snagged it again with my ring the next time I wore them.  The Motherhood brand do not have material a belly panel that you can snag.

  • I tried one on last time I went to MM...I didn't think it made that big of a difference.  I asked my mom if she could tell the difference when I had it on, and she couldn't.

On another note...I definitely plan on investing in a pair of Spanx after the baby is born!  I'm in a wedding a few months after my due date...I'm sure I'll need all the help I can get!

  • I bought it and like it.  Doesn't do tons to smooth out the stomach but but it provides support and also prevents thighs from getting sticky or rubbing together (i echo the sentiment above...sad effect of pregnancy).  Also prevents panty line issues.  A good investment...cheaper than spanx too.
