Ladies please...
Appreciate your hospitals if you have a good one!!!
So heres my long vent if you care to read....I live in what used to be a small town but now has 100,000+people. The nearest hospital is the next town over, also used to be a small town but now has 100,000 or so people as well. Well the hospital is very small, so they built a great addition which was supposed to be opened by Dec/Jan...yeah still not opened. So this small hospital has 5 delivery rooms and I think 10 recovery rooms...3 of which are private.....
Ok no biggie, I prepared myself for all of this....well my csection is scheduled for Thursday, so I go to do all my pre op today...that was real fun, 90 degrees running back and forth between hospital and docs office and lab. And while at the hospital I am told that I may have to go to the next hospital over, about 15 minutes away because they are doing work on the ORs at this hospital....but I wont know til I hear something...and this other hospital, while being bigger, has NO private rooms!
All this and there is nothing I can do about it so Im not stressing, it just sucks...Ive read so many of you talking about your hospitals and they sound amazing, please appreciate your private rooms and your hospitals!

Not to brag but we had our tour last Sat and DH said it looked like a spa...I was fully preparing myself for some ER/steral looking place
Wow, I would at least demand to know which hospital I was going to deliver at.
My hospital only has 4 LDR rooms and there are these other rooms that the "overflow" goes to, or if you might not be delivering for a while and the LDR are full, you may be put into one of these rooms. But they have 17 "mother and baby rooms" all of which are private and I thought this was the best part, the couch turns into a bed so DH has an actual place to sleep and not just a chair.
