grocery shopping cart...how ???

DH and I went to the grocery store yesterday. We have the chicco keyfit car seat and there's no way it's fitting in the cart. How do you grocery shop with an infant? Put the whole seat in the big basket part of the cart? I'm not even sure it would fit in there either!

yeah i've noticed this is difficult with ours too at some stores. i've been able to just kind of shove it in. sometimes it's not on there totally snug but i kind of hang onto it while pushing. what i hate is that i tend to crash into things because i can't see what's in front of me!!!

If his seat didn't fit in the top part I would probably have to wait till DH could watch him.

we put it in the buggy and pile groceries around her. she likes to look at the different colors of our purchases.

The Chicco does not fit in the top of the grocery cart. Its really not safe anyhow.

Neither is sleeping on the boppy, cosleeping, or bumpers in the crib but I do them all lol.

I have a Graco Snugride, but I put it on the basket part. I hold on to it when I push it and don't go offroading with it.

LOL. We do most of them too, and our seat fits in the shopping cart, so I do that to. I am just super careful.

I always used a baby carrier, too. Much easier, especially since I have a tendency to wander off from my cart. That way I didn't have to worry about the car seat falling off, or about being able to fit all my groceries on the cart!

Since DS doesn't really like being in his car seat, I just put him in a carrier. This also helps as his car seat doesn't take up the cart, and I don't have to worry about running into things. It is also nice as it keeps random people from trying to touch him.
