3rd Trimester

Ok may be too graphic but...

Is it wrong to "take care of yourself"? Think about what I'm asking and please don't judge. DH shut down on sex since the beginning, I'm starting to think we did it just to get pregnant, lol. So is it wrong or bad for LO?

Re: Ok may be too graphic but...

  • *blushes big time*  I don't think there's anything wrong with it...but we shouldn't talk about it. *giggles*

  • IMHO, it is not wrong.  If sex is okay, then that's okay too.  I think if your dr. gives you the go-ahead for sex, that's included.

  • Definitely not!

Think of having an orgasm as just giving your LO a hug!

    My baby loves hugs. Smile

  • OMG you haven't O'd since you got PG?
  • HECK NO it's not wrong!! You have needs to. I remember asking in second tri if vibrators were ok while pregnant, and the response was a resounding YES. So knock yourself out...heheheheheh
  • DH and I haven't been doing the dirty since 2nd tri, because actual penetration is painful - but I definitely take care of myself every once in awhile.  Nothing wrong with it, as far as I'm concerned...and I've heard it can cause contractions, so now I'm all about it.  :)

This is always my favorite metaphor by the way...
  • Um, I do that. Pretty often, actually.

Just make sure any "equipment" you might be using is clean.

    Have fun.

  • Honestly, I've had some days where I would've lost my mind if I hadn't taken things in to my own hands (snort). Something about hormones just can't be denied and sex is just not comfortable at this point.

  • My dh works til midnight so YES I've been doing it! Besides, O's can stimulate contractions :)

  • I say its okay. I've actually read it's good for you. Softens the cervix to have orgasms, makes delivery easier..
  • Yeah I'd be in a lot of trouble if we weren't supposed to be doing that. I actually googled it in the beginning of 1st tri and all the info out I saw says that as long as you're not high risk, go for it.

  • LOL. Heck no!  My DH pretty much shut down at the beginning too, he is too scared of hurting the baby, I asked about vibrators at the beginning too and dr said it was ok.  DH is getting more into it now, which is odd, but at least he's coming around.  I have toned it down since DH has gotten more active though, plus I'm not really in the mood as much anymore.  Good luck.

    THIS!!

And I can't believe he doesn't wanna have sex with you. Preg sex can be a whole new world of pleasure for both of you. it was for us during 2nd and most of 3rd tri
