How do you put ur lo to sleep?

O has always been awesome going to sleep. Anywhere between 7-730 feeding him would put him right to sleep. But the last few nights as soon as you move him from ur arms to his crib he wakes up! He will sleep for hours in our bed, but once u move him watch out! Any tips or ideas?

  • We put LO in his crib before he is totally asleep. We turn on his soothie and he falls asleep on his own and will sleep 7-8 hours straight.

  • I rock DS until he's groggy then I put him down.  He'll sometimes wake up, but I'll stnad over him w/ my hand on his chest and go "Shhhhh", while also sometimes running my fingers down over his forehead and eyes- it makes him close his eyes when he's truly tired!

I do that for maybe a minute, then he's out.

  • You should start putting him down when he is drowsy but still awake. That way he can start learning to soothe himself to sleep. When DD doesn't go to sleep rocking her and lightly tapping her booty always works.

This. ?Then I don't leave the room until I can tell that he's really out. ?

  • it sounds like you are doing everything right. ?sometimes i think even if they wake up once you put them down, they have to learn that it is time to go to bed- and just let him cry for a few minutes. ?that is what i do with dd and she has figured it out now!
