Baby cries after her bath

Does anyone else's baby cry after you give them a bath.  My daughter cries as we change her into her pj's so hard that i feel like i'm ready to cry by the time she's dressed.

Re: Baby cries after her bath

  • she might just be cold, try to keep the room super warm.  or maybe she is just sleepy?
  • Loading the player...
  • funny you say this because DS just started doing this too. He used to be so happy after the bath. I'm not sure what this is all about
  • How old is your baby? When my baby was really little she hated having her clothes changed, but as she got older she grew out of that. With that said, my DD still doesn't like the "after-bath" time . . . I think she gets cold or something (even if I try to make sure she doesn't get cold) because she cries after the bath (most of the time).
  • Ahh, how old is she??

You'll soon laugh through it, don't worry!  I like it because it helps tire her out for bed, lol!!

It's so funny now... it's like clockwork!

  • she's probably cold from coming out of the warm water.  keep her wrapped up well in her towel and in a warm room.
  • She is probably just cold once you get her out of the water.
  • Yes mine does too. I am not sure if he's cold hates to leave the tub which he loves or dh's theory is that he hates havinghis head dried. But he cries before that. I feed him right after the bath so he calms down and goes to bed.

Soon to celebrate the day we met, even if the day before marks when we said goodbye.
  • My ds did this too.. he was just cold from getting out of the nice warm tub. I started drying and dressing him in the nice warm bathroom rather than opening the door to the cooler nursery. Problem solved, no more tears.
  • Get a small space heater and heat up the bathroom.
