Infertility

And now my perspective is shot

So out of 30 eggs, 18 were mature. And how many fertilized? Freaking 6. Apparently my eggs just die. Some of the immature ones are still alive and I suppose they're looking at them for rescue ICSI, but WTF. I just don't know. Why does this one part of my life continue to make me miserable?

  • Good Luck! Six is still a great number! :-)
  • I'm so sorry.  Please try to stay on the positive side of this (I know it is very very hard) and think of those 6 that fertalized.  Fingers crossed that all 6 of them are rock stars and get you your BFP.  ((hugs))

  • Yeah six is great. ?Remember that you only need one. ? ?So hopefully one of those 6 (or more than one), will be your baby.

Rescue ICSI?  I was under the impression that ICSI was standard for "retrieved" sperm.

Either way - it does only take one... and these sound like fighters!

Husband has cystic fibrosis. I'm a carrier. We did TESE, IVF, ICSI, and PGD. After two failed IVFs, we were blessed with our twins.
