Arlo is using one tonight because I'm waiting for his cotton sleep sacks to arrive tomorrow and am also making sure he does ok with not having anything covering his hands (I sewed the ends of the sleeves closed on his fleece sleep sacks because he used to scratch himself when he woke up at night due to his eczema).
He is wearing a footed sleeper tonight and I also put a blanket over him as well. It's a heavy knit cotton one, good size (but made for a baby). I am just nervous with him having a blanket since he's never slept with one before. Just tell me he'll be fine and I'll get over it. Thanks.
Re: Does your DC use a blanket in the crib?
He'll be fine. DS likes to cuddle with his blanket. I've been using one since he was 6 months old. The blanket you gave him sounds a lot like the one I use.
If Arlo is anything like Conrad, he'll kick off the blanket relatively early in the night and end up on the opposite end of the crib from it.
Instead of a blanket, I cover Morgan with a king sized pillowcase. It's the right size and is not too heavy plus I have tons of them.
I'm sure he will be just fine, no worries.
I read this as "King sized pillow" and thought "oh dear."?
Haha, yeah, that might not be a good idea.

dd has always had a recieving blanket - when i stopped swaddling, i started covering her up with it. i also use a knitted baby blanket (with a loose stitch) to cover her when it's cold.
DD has been sleeping with one for months. I really have no worries. Its tucked into the mattress so she can't pull it over her face. If anything she kicks it off herself. I wanted to use something more than just her sleepers in the winter, and she hates sleep sacks. So we started using the blanket.
If you want to keep using one, I recommend tucking it in between mattress and crib so that he can't pull it over his face. It should help reassure you that he won't get all tangled up in it.
Arlo will be fine!!
Ben doesn't normally sleep with one, but he is tonight. It's going down to 34 degrees here. Normally, we put the little heater on in his room. But since he's been having issues with allergies/labored breathing, we've been running the vaporizer every night (which seems to be helping). Putting the heater on too would sort of defeat the purpose of the vaporizer. So, he's in a fleece footed sleeper with a onesie and socks underneath and a fleece blanket on him. I hope he's warm enough.
