  • Start to finish - probably 2-3 hours; it's really not long at all.  Just do it on a free weekend day.

I use fresh as much as possible, but if you can find frozen with no preservatives and no sodium, go for that!

  • It takes no time at all if you have a good food processor or blender.  I usually take frozen fruits or veggies, cook them, run them through the food processor, and then pop them into ice cube trays.  Seriously, easiest thing ever!  I work full time, just finished my master's degree two weeks ago and still had plenty of time to make it.  I have used fresh a bit and plan to use more fresh when things come into season.  Its SO easy!
  • i know some ladies on here make huge batches and freeze, but i'm not sure how long takes.  i make mine weekly and it takes maybe an hour start to finish.  we shop organic and local so 90% of what dd eats is fresh, but i have used frozen before in a pinch.

it's really really easy and i recommend checking out wholesomebabyfood.com

Really?  It usually takes me 20 - 40 minutes including clean up from start to into ice cube trays.

  • It really doesn't take too long at all. ?I'll take an hour every once in a while and make a few different kinds. I'll try to use fresh, but sometimes I don't have the time, or it's too much of a pain to prep that food (ie Mangos), and I'll use frozen preferably organic. ?Give it a try!
  • I just pop a bunch of things into the oven at once, squash, peaches, potatoes. Let it all good. Then cut up and throw in the blender.

it's pretty easy. Most time consuming is to peel some of the stuff, but it's worth it, ds loves it!

wholesomebabyfood is the best website to help you get started! I did a TON of research.

You'll be amazed at how easy it was and FUN too!

Yes, after prepping, cooking, processing...then counting taking out of ice cube trays, into bags, labeling, etc.

  • It takes me a couple hours a week, usually on a Sunday afternoon after I go grocery shopping. I can do other things in the kitchen during that time though. I use fresh produce whenever possible.

  • It takes us a couple of hours a week as well.  We usually make the food twice a week, and it's only an hour tops each time.  And rice cereal only takes about 15 minutes to make.  We use fresh, organic produce and organic brown rice or millet for the cereal.  It's really easy, and it's good for the baby.  I would recommend you check out the book Super Baby Food.
  • Today I made 32 portions of sweet potatoes and 14 portions of peaches in about 20 minutes (not including baking time). It takes no time at all for me. I just throw the food in the processor and puree and pour. I'm also saving LOADS of money. Even if I worked, I would do this. It's way easier than I thought and much cheaper.

  • I spend about 30-60 min per week making 24 servings of 1 to 2 different foods. I bought the Fresh Baby cookbook/workbook and I really like it. It is super easy & doesn't take much time and I also work ft. I have used both fresh & frozen produce just depending on what food I'm making (ie - frozen peas, fresh apples). I'd highly recommend giving it a try & the food actually tastes yummy when you're done - good luck!
