My sister and I are a little under 3 years apart. I want to have my children 3 years apart as well. There seem to be a lot of people on here who are having their kids much closer together!

I vow to my children that I won't space them that far apart. My sister and I are super close now, but we were never close growing up b/c there was such an age gap.

I think 3 years is perfect! That's what I'm planning.

I am the middle child. My older sister is 2.75 years older. My younger sister and I are 1.5 years apart. My younger sister and I are much closer emotionally. DH and I want our kids close together, probably under 2 years apart.

my sister and i are 21 months apart and were too close in age for either of our liking. we were only one grade apart in school most of the time (i skipped in middle school) so we had the same friends, played on the same sports teams and sometimes it was just too much time together especially since we had to go home and see each other. we fought all the time and i really hated that she was so close in age.

now we're pretty good friends, but i'll be spacing my children out a little bit more.

My brother is 2-1/2 years older than me and my sister is 4-1/2 years older than me. I think that was good spacing, but I still want our kids no more than 2 years apart.

no sibs for me, but i am hoping for 3 years apart for my kids. 2 at the least.

dh is 13 1/2 years older than his sister and 18 years older than his brother. needless to say his mom had him young!

My oldest brother is 8-1/2yrs older, my 2nd older brother is 18mos older and my younger brother is 3yrs and 3days younger. My mom said my little bro and I were the best age difference. My kids are 3yrs 2mos apart and my DH and his sister are 3yrs 3days apart, perfect age IMO.

My sister is 3.5 years younger than me (my parents planned so we wouldn't all be in college at the same time!), and my brother is 8 years younger. I think 3ish years is perfect, my sister and I have always been very close, but I'm more of a mom to my brother since I was always taking care of him and babysitting him. It was probably nice for my mom to have us to help out, but I think if we were closer in age we'd have a closer relationship.

Just under 4 years younger than my brother.

DH and his sister are 15 months apart.

We are thinking somewhere between 2.5-3 years between our kids. IF I can wait that long.

3 years, 3 months and my parents really liked the gap, but did say that in the early 80's, you had to space 3 years because that is what everyone did!

I am one of four. We are all 3.5 -4 years apart. I am 12 years older than my youngest sister but we are really close so it's not a big deal. I am close to all of my sisters our age difference never really came into play. If anything it helped because I could drive them around and I babysat them a lot. Now that I have a baby, two of my sisters are still in High school and they can babysit for me.
