I'm thinking it's time to get DS a table and chair set. There are SO many out there! We would have it in the living room, but I don't care if it's kiddy. Do you have one you really like? He would mostly use it for eating snacks, coloring, and just playing. I don't think I want a nice wooden one, I would be afraid he'd ruin it.
Re: table and chairs
I just got this one from IKEA today:

They also have a blue table, but it's round. The rectangular one fits in our space better. The tables have slightly raised edges, so if something spills, it stays on the table instead of dripping onto the floor. They are sturdy plastic that I don't care if he ends up coloring on.
That's really cute, and affordable! My DH works near an IKEA, I may have him go check those out. I like the raised edge, that's a good idea. Keeps crayons from rolling off too. We'd probably want the rectangle too. Thanks!

we were originally going to get the kidkraft aspen table and chairs set but went w/the white ikea one which was only 1/2 as much and it's so cute! since they will outgrow it quickly, i figured it wasn't worth the money. we will be getting a nicer and taller table and chairs set once dd is around 3 years.
I wasn't a huge fan of this one because the legs seems like they could break off easily (if a child leaned too hard on it, etc.). I went with this table/chair and love it! Very sturdy, crayon marks wipe right off.

It's actually rather sturdy. The legs screw into the table, and I don't see a way that DS could break either the chairs or the table very easily at all.
The white table and chairs are nice too though.
Maybe it was just the sample one I looked at. The legs were pretty wobbly on a few of them - I checked on the screws and everything. Hopefully yours will stay nice and sturdy though, I guess the sample ones get pretty beat up.

We got one from IKEA as well, but it's not either of the ones pp'r posted. It's just basic light tan color with a white top.
