paternity laws for IL

HI, we just moved here and I'm not clear on how much time off dads get after delivery. my husband spoke to his company and he gets 2 weeks off but what is the state law and which form do you need to fill out to get additional time? Believe me I've gone to the IL state site and I'm more confused than i was before. we're from California and did it fine there when we had our daughter so I'm not sure why I'm having such a hard time, ugh. thanks for ANY help!

I'm pretty sure we just have FMLA here, so up to 12 weeks off unpaid for the birth of a child.  If there are other laws, I don't know about them, so I'd be curious to see if you get any different responses.

Ditto. I don't think there are any specific "paternity leave" laws. He would be able to use FMLA if he qualifies but that is just unpaid leave.
