$1,200 for a 30 pg. album...wwyd?
Would you pay $1,200 for a 30 page album? You can choose any assortment of pics and sizes. Pics will be taken at 3, 6, 9 and 12 mths. We can even take pics outside the studio if we want. Multiple outfit changes. Baby's name and dob will be engraved on the album.
Does it sound like a good deal? $300 a session sounds high to me but maybe I'm wrong?

But then again you're talking to the mom that has only had pro pics done twice since having children (almost 2 years ago).
You could buy an awesome digital camera for that price and take your own pics.

That's about how much I charge for a wedding album, so I guess it sounds reasonable. But then again I only charge $150 for an infant sitting and my clients get the rights to the photos so they can order their own prints.
Depending on the photographer, I could definitely see that price. Would I pay it? Now Way!!!
Of course, my sister is a photographer and I get DD's pics taken each month for free.
You can make the album yourself with an online program!!! Get some professional pics taken, and buy a CD with all the pics on it.
It is SUPER easy to make an online album. I use blurb.com. All you do is choose a layout you like, and click and drag your pics onto the pages. It cost me $40.00 (that includes tax and shipping) and I got my album in about 7 days. It turned out absolutely beautiful!!!!
No way. That's WAY too much for me - esp. b/c I can take them myself or go to Picture Peeps when I want professional ones for WAY less than that.
But hey - maybe you have more $ than we do.
That is way too expensive for me. You can go to JC Penneys...have unlimited outfit changes and backgrounds and get your own negatives for $120 a session maximum. Then make your own book on mypublisher...much cheaper.

I guess if a professional photographer is really important to you go for it. The nice thing about making your own book however is you can put in candids as well.
Does it include digital rights/images on a CD? If so, that's a pretty good deal for all that from a pro photographer (assuming you like their portfolio).
If it doesn't include images on a CD as well, I would pass personally. It's a lot of $$ for me, but it will vary by your finances of course.
DD #1 passed away in January 2011 at 14 days old due to congenital heart disease
DD#2 lost in January 2012 at 23 weeks due to anhydramnios caused by a placental abruption

I'm paying $50 per session and already did the NB, I will be doing 3, 6, 9 and 12. Now we are not having an album made, but $300 a session is crazy!!!!!
I think you need to check into other photographers.

fvck no i wouldn't spend that. ?i would be shocked if you got enough pictures to fill a 30 page album. ?i doubt most babies would be able to "pose" for pictures that long. ?
we went to picture people and just made it through 2 outfits before I could tell C was finished with the "shoot". ?there were maybe 18 pictures to choose from. ?so no, i wouldn't spend $1200 for a 30 page album.?
