Re: **Weekly Mom's Check-in**
We are HUGE sports fans in our house! We LOVE football and baseball the most! We are Bengals fans and we follow really any team because we love the sport! We are also Reds fans! We also like Basketball but it is not a sport that we watch often. We follow UK basketball and Pistons!
DS has been to a few Reds games since he was born! He went to like 5 last year and 1 this year! He is obsessed with baseball himself and does VERY well with his tee ball set :-)
Updates: DS is going throw his tantrum stange and we find it annoying and cute all at the same time. He is becoming a little man :-) As far as the pregnancy, we find out what we are having tomorrow hopefully! I am still battling a little m/s but it is hit or miss now. Overall we are all doing very well!
Married to my BFF on 8.13.05 (after dating 5 years)!
DS born 2.14.08. DD born 9.30.09.
I promise I am going to start responding to the weekly check in's. I am third on the list for due dates! AhHH!!! Not many contractions and at last week's appt no progress. Hoping for some this week. Everything is ready.
DH is from Cleveland so our household supports any and all Cleveland teams. He is an avid Indians and Cavs follower. As for baseball we follow both Cincinnati and Cleveland. We love going to baseball games and don't go to enough games. We plan on taking Natalie at the end of the summer hopefully. We have taken Maddye (DH's daughter) to an Indian's game and she was bored out of her mind!
Of course, UC football is a must as well and DH already has Natalie's UC cheerleading outfit ready.
College basketball is my favorite sport. I'm a Dayton Flyers fan, Mike is a born and bred UK fan. We haven't taken her to any basketball games yet. Mike's a huge Colts fan, I like the Bengals but am about ready to jump ship if things don't change this season. Maggie can pick who to align with when she's older.
Her first sporting event was the Reds futures game at the Dayton Dragons stadium. She liked it, but liked visiting with the people in the seats around us most of all.
Update: Miss Mags is getting closer to walking. She'll let go of whatever she's cruising on for a second, then realize she let go and grab back on. :-) Pretty cute. She's also talking away. mama, dada, hi, and versions (we think) of papaw, Ella (her cousin), and Harper (the dog).
She's teething like crazy, we're back to not having great luck with sleep and I'm tired. I can't believe she'll be a year old in a few weeks.
QOTW: DH is a huge sports fan but I mostly enjoy games for the atmosphere and food! I am a Packers fan from growing up in Wisconsin but it's hard to catch games on TV because they aren't always broadcast here.
Updates: Leah is still talking up a storm. Still not interested in walking yet, even a little bit, but she's becoming a little parrot. Words she's learned in the past couple of weeks are "thank you" (sounds like, "day-doo" but whatever), "bubbles," "ny-ny" for "night-night," "Bapa" for her grandpa, and when we say, "give me kisses" she licks our faces (not ideal, necessarily, but SO cute!). I can't believe how quickly they learn things at this age.
I can't wait for summer to be home with her all day!
In honor of the POTW, what is your favorite sport(s) and teams (pro and/or college)? Have you taken DC to any games in your favorite sport(s)?
Our house is all about Michigan football. DH and his entire family went to U of M and they're all die-hard fans. DH has had season tickets since graduating - so fall is all about trekking up to the Big House.
I also enjoy following Cleveland sports teams (we lived there for years).
We haven't taken the girls to any games yet - although they've been to many a tailgate.
QOTW: We are huge sports fans. Especially Colts football and Butler basketball (we both graduated from Butler). We haven't taken the kids to any games yet...we will wait until they get a bit older.
Updates: We are all doing well and adjusting to life with 2 under 2. My DH went back to work today, so today is a big test for me
I am sticking it out with BF'ing so far. We are having some latch issues, so I am going to see a lactation consultant tomorrow.

I used to be a really big sports fan, but DH is not into ANY kind of sports at all, so I don't find myself following my favorites near as much now. I do love to watch with other people, though. Justin looks like he is built to play, so hopefully I can foster some interest in him despite his father's disinterest.
I love the University of Michigan - my dad lived there his whole life till he got married and raised all of us kids to be U of M fans. No Buckeyes for us! I also sort of follow college basketball -- I have a passing interest in Miami, UC and Xavier. I guess you could say I'm a Bengals fan, but I'm a fair weather fan at best.
Justin doesn't have any gear from any of my favorite teams and has never been to a game yet, don't know when that might ever happen.
Tyler Anthony arrived on 9.21.09
The Chronicles of Justin and Tyler
I'm a big sports fan, as is DH, but we don't always agree on which teams to cheer for. I'm pretty loyal to my Texas teams and DH is a Cincinnati boy. I am a Cowboys fan, but also cheer for the Bengals. I love the Mavericks and the Stars, as well as UT (Texas) football. I've recently become a UC fan after having a close family friend play for the team. We both like the Reds for baseball. I'm loyal to Syracuse in lacrosse and basketball but we suck at football so it makes it hard.
Allie and I both had a nasty sinus infection last week which knocked us on our butts. We're doing better this week but not 100%. She's starting to babble more and DH works with her constantly on Dada. Right now she looks at hime like he's crazy so we'll see if she picks it up. We started veggies last week and it's kind of hit or miss. We're going to Dallas on Thrusday for my brother's wedding and I'm so excited! It should be a great time!

QOTW: Football is huge in my family. We're all die hard Bengals, Buckeyes and Bearcats fans. I can't wait for football season to begin so I can watch it on my new flat screen TV! DD also loves watching football so we're thinking of taking her to a UC game this year.
Updates: DD has Pre-school graduation tomorrow. I can't wait to see her in her little cap and gown. DS has learned how to give kisses and will blow a kiss whenever you say "I love you."
QOTW: We are HUGE sports fans in our house. I may be a little bit nuttier when it comes to sports in our house. I am a BIG fan of the Bengals (we have season tickets), UK basketball & track. I watch baseball, college football, NBA, & other sports but I just don't get into them as much as the others.
Just finished round 2 of Clomid last week, so this week is supposed to be magic week. We will see if the higher dose made me ovulate. If not we will go up to the next dose & try again.
My dh is a huge sports fan- mostly Cincinnati teams: Bengals, Reds, UC football and basketball. We've really only taken ds to one real sporting event which was a Red's game when he was about 5 months. Maybe we'll try another Red's game this season, but not sure he would sit still for any period of time.
Updates: Ds is almost 2!! When you tell him this and hold up 2 fingers he says "No! One!" and holds up 1 finger. I have no idea where he learned this but it's really funny! We're looking forward to his party at Parky's farm this weekend. Terrible twos here we come!!
QOTW: DH and I were both athletes, growing up, and we actually met while coaching competitively, so you could say that our household is about as sports-filled as they come!
) We follow the traditional sports, but we'd pretty much watch anything that calls itself a sport...in the spirit of competition - LOL! Of course, we are both hoping that DH embraces our shared love of sports. Our favorites, by season, are:
Updates: Jacob is changing so much, each day, and I have LOVED every second home with him during my maternity leave. He is really starting to coo and LOL, which is just the best sound in the world. He really loves to stand up on our laps and sit, propped up, on the coach or in his Bumbo. He is so alert and is starting to reach out for his toys. He is so strong on his tummy, and he rolled over to his back (for the first time) last Tuesday!
In our house we bleed blue, for UK. We have always loved UK basketball, but in the recent years have been getting into UK football.
DH is more of the "sports freak" than I. He loves the Buffalo Bills, so we follow them in our house. He has our entire family room decked out in Buffalo Bills decor, it's his "man cave." He also loves the Atlanta Braves for baseball, but we have both been to many Reds games.
DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.
I love baseball, and I will get into March Madness. That's about it for me. DH, on the other hand, is a FANATIC. ANY sport, and he's interested. He played 5 varsity sports his junior and senior year of high school... anyone that's willing to juggle golf with football in the fall and track with baseball in the spring is a fanatic.
We both love the Reds, and he's a Bengals fan, Buckeye fan, Blue Jackets fan, etc... We'll also root for UCONN as my favorite aunt and uncle live up that way. DS has not yet been to any games. My fear right now is that all he wants to do is move that we'd be unable to enjoy the game. MIL is happy to babysit, so that's what we've done so far.
Updates: Brandon is moving everywhere, and he's becoming way more vocal (lots of "da da da da da"). He is getting more and more fearless with the cruising... picking his hands up as he tries to move his feet from one spot to the next. He has recently started pincer gripping his puffs, but he won't feed them to himself yet. He'll just drop them on the floor, lol. We bought him his convertible carseats yesterday along with the superyard gate for our house. We'll see how he does in those. I still can't believe how quickly he's grown!!!
We are Ohio State football fans. I am also a die hard Bengals fan (and have my share of gray hair to show for it). DH is coming around on that. He is a Tampa Bay Bucs fan. We follow the Reds some. We have not taken DD yet, but will go to a Reds game this summer with her.
Brenna is all over the house once again. She just goes and goes. Now she can yell for the dog and chase the poor thing down at the same time. It is getting crazy around here. I really liked my stationary baby. We have several games we play with her. She is so much fun! We started with some finger foods, and she enjoys feeding herself. I am paranoid after the choking incident, but she is doing very well with cut up big people food.
