Because that is not healthy. Yes I am judging. Get marriage counseling.

It is not something ever discussed, used as a threat or even thrown around as a joke in our house and the grounds for divorce in our relationship were very clearly defined before we were married.

Just a thought, not a sermon.

I agree...DH and I don't say that word...we argue, yes, but does divorce come up? No. I've been there, done that before and I hated it. Although I am thankful I am not with my first husband anymore. If DH and I get into anything particularly heated, I always tell him to go stay at his mom's house lol.

I am not saying it is healthy to say it or throw it down like a threat but come on there are times when we are arguing when I am like my life would have been so much easier....blah blah blah....it doesnt mean that I am going to get a divorce - nor does it mean counseling...

It normally means for me I need a break - away from the house, dog, kids, etc. Normally I get this feeling at the end of the school year...but by the end of summer I am fine....because normally my kids are at Grandmas for the summer....LOL....

It's so funny this is coming up...I'm not married yet, but will be on Sept. 5th. Last night in bed we discussed our views on divorce. Not really sure why this hasn't come up before, but we both are on the same page that divorce is an extreme last resort, to be used only if the other cheats. Weird that this is the issue today!

UGH - do you not see the PIP - do you not see all the activities, etc that I have to go to and deal with...lol...by the end of the year I am pulling my hair out having to deal with recitals - plays - tests - performances - etc. I am so glad my mom considers my SD her own grandchildren...I pay a small fortune in plane tickets but it is worth my sanity....LOL

used to be. I even filed for divorced. We obviously ended up working it out. We went through marriage counseling and are doing great now.
