Tipped Uterus?

My doctor told me at my last checkup that I had a tipped uterus--tipped forward. Of all my times going to the doctor since I was 18, (I'm 30 now) no one ever told me I had that a TU. Has anyone else ever been told that you have one? Do you think or have you heard it can affect chances of becoming pregnant? Thanks so much for your time!

    Hey StrikeGirl.  I too am 30 and was just told 3 weeks ago that I've got a tipped uterus! I am now 7 weeks pregnant but had quite a fun time getting here.  From what I've researched, having a tipped uterus can cause very painful periods, irregular menstural cycles and problems ovulating-which exactly explains all my fertility problems.  My doctor put me on Femara and 3 cycles later I'm pregnant!     Breathe easy, baby.  Tipped Uterus is a pretty common and non-harmful condition.  I had the exact same scare a year ago, did a lot of research and asked my OB/GYN a LOT of questions.

    What I found is that it does not affect your ability to conceive and once you are pregnant your body will straighten things out (so to speak).

     I'm 30 weeks pregnant with a twisted pelvis and a tipped uterus.  Everything is just perfect, though! :)

    Awesome! Thanks so much for your feedback! I've never had bad periods and hopefully won't have much more time before I get pregnant since being off BC in January.
