Recommend your diet program...

I've done WW for years and I lost 20 lbs on it. I'm having trouble sticking to it now, maybe because there is too much freedom.

Anyway, I want to try a new program to jump start my weight loss. I need to lose about 10-15 lbs. I don't really eat meat and I love carbs...

Tell me what program you're doing and what are the pros/cons. Thanks!?

Re: Recommend your diet program...

  • 1. Eat?

    2. Run

    Pros--I like this plan. Cons--if I don't run, I don't lose weight. :)

  • I know you said you want a change, but LOVE WW.  Its soemthing you can stick to long term.  That said, a lot of my co-workers are doing Jenny Craig and seem to be having success.

Seems simple enough...I just need to find the energy to actually exercise and I need to learn to control my eating!?

I know it's the best program because it's "real life" eating. Portion control/good choices. I am having so much trouble finding the motivation to do it!?

  • i'm done losing weight and am maintaining now, but i still love WW.  if i wasn't BFing i probably would have done some sort of extreme jump start, but i don't want to screw up my supply.

honestly to lose the weight i just watched what i ate and ran/swam.  if i had dessert i would just add a mile to my run or 30 minutes to my swim to make up the difference.

  • You need to be my workout buddy! Now get of the Nest and move your butt. I am allowed to stay because I already did!

LOL. I've always lost weight be restricting calories and not so much by exercising. Maybe that's what needs to change this time. Hmmmm. What exercise are you doing? What's your ticker all about?

I feel like by the time I get home from work I'm SO tired and I just want to play with DD.?

I know what you mean. ?I lost 30lbs just by cutting calories. ?It's not working this time. ?ugh.?
  • I am nervous to restrict calories because I am bf'ing and terrified of a supply drop. So I started speedwalking/jogging in the morning or evenings. I do a little over 2 miles each day. That ticker motivates me, believe it or not! I have been going for 2-3 weeks and am down 6 lbs. I am already feeling better about myself, which makes me want to eat healthier. I understand about not wanting to loose your time with your DD though. What about doing a 30 min dvd after you put her to bed? If you have on demand, there are lot of different options. I am going to start Carmen Electra's work out soon, that will be interesting, lol!

Good for you! That's really motivating to hear! Are you going everyday? I have to do some exercise...I convinced DH spend $1000 on an eliptical machine that was delivered the week I found out I was pregnant. Needless to say I've been on it about 5 times. I should really hop on there. I need to get it in my head that I'm going to go at a set time and not waiver.?

  • We do go everyday. I am enjoying getting out of the house (I SAH) and she enjoys seeing animals, people--everything. She talks the entire time. Get on your elliptical girl! Get on there 20 min a day to start, it won't even feel like exercising. Start a ticker, it will motivate you to move while you are sitting and playing on the nest. GL!
