Babies: 9 - 12 Months

When do you plan to binkie wean?

or will you let them self wean? I was watching my neighbors 18mo and I could not understand anything she was trying to say for the huge pacifier in her mouth. She would pop it out eat a goldfish and it would go right back in. DS uses a binkie, but mostly for comfort and we try not to let him 'hang out' with it in his mouth. I just forsee it being a difficult task later weaning later on, but I don't want him to be 2 sucking a binkie.

  • We still keep the binkie on a leash attached to DS.  I think we'll give it only at naps and bedtime a little after 1 year.

  • He likes his thumb way better... I don't know how we'll break that habit.?
  • she can have it for nap, bedtime and in the car for awhile yet. probably 2.5-3 is the limit.

during the day i try to keep them all in her crib, but i think she plants them around the house. she can find them all day and when bedtime rolls around they're all disappeared.
