hats off to single moms

my dh has been out of town this week and I now appreciate him even more.

It's tough doing everything by myself!

Re: hats off to single moms

  • Kudos to you for not doing this, but one of my nestpeeves is when people say "teehee, I'm a single mom this weekend!!!".  No, you're not.  Stop obnoxiously belittling single moms.

thank you and I would NEVER belittle a single mom! (that didn't deserve it, of course)

  • There's a post below that says it, which is what called it to mind.

Not to get my panties in a bunch, but having lost my job and being able to stay home with DS b/c of DH's salary makes me appreciate the stability of not being a single mom.  I cannot imagine shouldering it all on my own.

  • I enjoy the peace and quiet of being a single mom!
  • I'm a single mom and I have to tell you after talking to a bunch of my married friends it almost seems better sometimes.  I don't have to worry about bumping heads with anyone.  Sure it does get tedious working a full time job and having full responsibility but there are benefits too!
