it was 146. so now i have to go back next friday for the 3 hr. im really hoping to not have GD. they also said i have low iron so they are having me start taking slowfe i think its called?
i want to eat carb conscious this week and see if it changes anything but its so hard to avoid bad carbs as a vegetarian. looks like itll be a whole lot of beans and salads etc until i can get control of it.
Re: im a 1hr glucose test failure
man i wish i could remember who on 2nd tri had all the good GD factors posts and whatnot...
sorry
everyone fails the one hour. and you really didnt fail by much so i highly doubt you have GD.
I got the same score as you and i passed my 3 hour with flying colors.
That would be jenerally. I wish she were here right now.
That being said, you really shouldn't change your diet to try and skew the results of the 3 hour. If you really do have it and they don't catch it, you're putting yourself and your baby at risk.
i doubt EVERYONE Fails... i didnt
With this being the case you have a higher chance of having GD. I failed my 1 hour with a 155, and I also went on to fail my 3 hour.
GL to you. Just so you know, having GD isn't too bad. In some ways it's good because it helps me keep my diet in check and I've only gained 6 pounds since pre-pregnancy (thanks to the diet).
Not to trick the test, but just in general, I would suggest eating more of the fake meats or tofu. There are a lot of good ones available, as well as recipes for yummy meals using them. Very high in protein, low in carbs (also high in iron). Vegan ones are probably the best because they don't contain dairy, which can be kinda carb-y. I totally understand what you mean though, when I was just veggie (I'm now vegan) I ate pretty much nothing but carbs for 7 years. Not a good thing.?
I did pass my 1 hour, but I made sure to eat well for a few days prior, and higher protein the day of the test.
