I don't get that. I know a lady who adopted a boy who was thrown in the garbage and was fortunately found in time. I don't understand the "depersonalization" defense. Sounds like a load of crap to me. I get when young girls do it, but when an adult does it, I have absolutely no empathy.
What angers me is that she is 29 freakin years old. She could have left it at a fire station or given him up for adoption. There are plenty of people who would like to have a child. No excuse to leave him in the trash. Makes me so sad...
Depersonalization??? This shouldn't hold water. She was 27 or 28, I'm sure when this happened. She knew what she was doing. If she had a diagnosed mental problem before that is one thing, I don't think you should be able to claim one after you have committed a crime.

How the eff is that involuntary?
I know PPD can make some women do crazy things, but I cannot imagine.......
That is so sad. And I think that since she pulled the insanity card she should be spending the rest of her life in a state-run mental institution.
