moms who use bumpers

are they breathable or the ones that came with your set?

DS has started to moved around the whole crib and sometimes I see his face close to the bumper and it scares the CRAP out of me so I was thinking about getting a breathable bumper but hate to waste money again if it's not really really needed.

    we use the regular bumpers. DS would knock himself out if we didn't have padded bumpers around the crib.

    The ones that came with our set. She would bump her head on the bar so we put them back in around 4 months and have had no problems. She loves to snuggle them.

    we use the regular bumpers.  We tried taking them out, but he would get his arms and legs stuck between the slats on the crib and we'd all be up in the middle of the night.

    We use a breathable bumper. There is no way we could use a regular bumper at this point - he would use it to stand on and get out of the crib. As it is, he tries to stand on his breathable bumper!

    We used a regular bumpers until about 8/9 months when we dropped the crib.

    I dont know what to do! I put the bumper in, then took it out, but after seeing her legs halfway through the slates this morning, I think I want to put the bumper back in. I originally took it out because she was sleeping with her face up against it and it got me really nervous.

    Ours is the regular one from the set.  I never took it out and she only started to really touch it a few weeks ago after I lowered the mattress (she likes to pull it down to peek out and see if the dog is in her room).

    She can stand on her own but hasn't stood in her crib yet. If she does start to try and stand on it, then i'll take it out but for now it's fine. I think she likes to snuggle against it when she sleeps.

    We have a breathable one and although I like that I never worry when he's sleeping with his face right in it, he bonks his head all the time. Half the time, I think he wakes up in the night b/c his head is pushed up against one of the rails and it hurts.

    I'm thinking of getting a regular one too.

    Regular, big padded bumper.  It's probably 2" thick.  He scoots around a lot in his sleep so I felt like we needed it.

    I use the regular one that came with our set.  I had nothing in there when she was little and swaddled but once she started sleeping unswaddled she got her leg caught  and was SCREAMING and I freaked out so I put it back in.  She's fine with it.  It keeps her from bumping her head but she doesnt'really sleep with her face right next to it.  She does put her loveys over her face so I usually check on her and pull them off.
