Ummm...Can't feel my strings...

So last night I checked for my Mirena strings and...nothing.  I had DH check in case my fingers were suddenly not long enough...nothing...

 

So, call OB right away huh?  I am freaked...

    The same thing happened to me when I had my IUD in. I went in to have it checked, and my strings were just curled up. Doctor said that was normal. She also said that the strings start to soften with time, which makes it hard to feel. She uncurled my strings.

    When I went in to have it removed, the strings were curled up again, which is why I couldn't feel them. If you aren't having any pain or strange unexplained bleeding, I wouldn't worry too much. Obviously make an appointment for your sanity, but don't freak out. ?

    As PP said my strings have curled up, if I squat when I am in the shower and sort of push, my cervix will kind of come down and I can feel the strings as they curl over the edge of my cervix.

    My dr left them long, so the would curl, she said if she cut them too short they would stab DH.. lol that'd be fun.
