I don't know too much about Edwards (I do hear good things) but my cousin delivered all 3 of her LOs at CDH, and that's where DS's pedi works. LOVED it. It's a new wing so the rooms are large and clean.
Also, they have a close tie to Children's Memorial (which I'm sure you guys won't need) but it's nice to know they have access to a lot of specialists w/out transferring hospitals.
CDH is partnered with Children's Memorial. They have a top neonatel unit and they have been named a Thompson's top 100 hospital for the 3rd year in a row. I delivered 2 out of 3 of my kids there, my middle one was delivered out in McHenry. It is an awesome hospital!!!
I delivered my son a year ago at CDH, and can't wait to deliver my baby girl this summer there as well! ?The nurses in both Labor & Delivery and in recovery were amazing. ?I had to go back to CDH with my son when he developed Pyloric Stenosis at 2 1/2 weeks old, and a Pediatric Surgeon through Children's Memorial performed the surgery. ?We were treated with extreme care and compassion and respect throughout all of our experiences at the hospital, and the facilities are top notch. ?You feel like you're in a hotel! ?Although it seems small, the food is good too - very important for a woman who's just given birth and is starving, and her poor husband who is also hungry.
I LOVED CDH! Couldn't have been more comfortable having my girls there, plus our Pedi is through there. We see Dr. Christenson and Dr. DeStefani, adn I highly recommend them as Pedi's too!

Ditto all of this. The hospital and the nurses were awesome, and I loved them during my labor. I feel bad that DH aren't planning on staying in this area, as I would love to deliver any future kids of ours there. And I love Dr. Christensen for our pediatrician (we also see Dr. Westerholm, who is very nice too!) through the CDH Medical Group here in Glen Ellyn.
