NBR: Suggestions for gift for my Dad (new teacher)

My Dad just finished his student teaching and will hopefully be getting an elementary school teaching job in the Fall. I am super proud of him and want to get him some type of gift, but can't think of any ideas. Maybe something for him to use that is school related? For his classroom? Hmm...any ideas?

    Hand sanitizer and tissues! Wink Congrats to you dad that is awesome. I like the idea of something for his classroom.  What about a name plate or nice pencil holder?

    You could get him a gift card to a "teacher store." I know that my sister who is a 5th grade teacher is always looking for fun things to decorate her classroom with. I am not sure about where he will end up but my sister's school has a theme every year. So she is always looking for stuff for her room.

    I would think a nice bag, like a tote. I use one every day.; gift card to a book store so he can stock his classroom library; a gift basket or tote bag filled with penicls, reward stickers, candy, other accessories he can use at school. HTH! And congrats to your dad!

    Congrats to your dad!  That is so exciting!!!  :)

    If he's in the Raleigh area, you could get him a gift card to Stone's.  They have a lot of awesome stuff.  DH is a teacher and I can't think of any "must have" item that he uses.

    I'm clueless about what you could get him, but I just wanted to say YAY!  And I'm so proud of him, too.  He's worked long and hard to finish school!

    My Mom loves the "teacher store" stuff too!  She also likes gift cards to AC Moore, they have a special discount program for teachers and send them extras in the mail and have sales for teachers only!  Congrats to your Dad too!
