Toddlers: 24 Months+

Any last-minute Disney World advice?

We're going tomorrow, just for a long weekend, since DH is doing Ironman Florida 70.3 on Sunday. We're planning on going to the Magic Kingdom tomorrow and maybe Sea World on Sunday, depending on how DH feels after the race.

What rides are toddler-appropriate? Last year we just did Haunted Mansion (which she HATED) and It's a Small World.

Should we rent or bring our stroller? Last year we brought ours since DD was still so small and didn't have any trouble with it, but now I'm wondering if we should rent one this year just to play it safe.

TIA!

  • We used our travel system stroller, we didn't rent.

  • You can do any ride that doesn't have a height restriction on it.  We took DS in November and he had just turned 1.  He went on pretty much everything with us except the "thrill" rides (Space Mt. etc.)  He loved them all, especially the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger spin ride and Aladdin's Carpets.

We took our stroller because the rental ones are a hard plastic and not really great for naps.  It was nice to be able to spot our stroller pretty quickly when we got out of a ride.  I made sure we had something on it (I used neon green yarn tied to the handle, as well as our name tag on the stroller somewhere) to identify it as ours, too.

We didn't so Sea World, but it's pretty much on par with MK.  Sea World also has a little kid play area that your DC might like, too.

  • the people mover and the carosel of progress in tomorrowland are great breaks!  So is the jungle cruise - but the line for that is always (oddly) very long.

next time stay longer so we can GTG with other Floridians!! ;)

I love how you say "oddly" about the Jungle Cruise. DH was a skipper on our internship there. Haha!!! I always joke with him about it.

  • We are going next week so no advice yet! But we are bringing our stroller. Don't forget It's a Small World, I heard the toddlers love that.

    Have fun!

  • Ditto what every one else said. Take your own stroller, take it easy and don't try to do everything, DO take an afternoon break back at the hotel, and bring a small cooler full of bottled water and snacks with you if you can.

We took DD back in February and she loved Monsters Inc Laugh Floor.?
