My cousin just stopped bf'ing her baby at 14months. She tried him on regular cow's milk but he hated it. He now drinks goat's milk and loves it! Are there any advantages/disadvantages to drinking goats milk? Or to not drinking cows milk?
I can't begin to know where one would even find goat's milk in my area....but as long as it's pasteurized and the pediatrician thinks it's nutritionally sufficient, then I don't see why it would be a problem. One disadvantage would be that very few people would have goat's milk (daycare, restaurants, friend's houses, etc.) so if you wanted to make sure your child was drinking milk during the day, you'd constantly have to be supplying it yourself.

That is so true. They came to visit last year and we could not find it ANYWHERE. She had to drive an hour to find it.
