I'm so sick of being poked in the arm, and I'm sick of having to go to work in suspense of the results!!!
After a heavy random bleeding episode last week, I am getting my levels checked every 48 hours to see if they're doubling or not. On Tuesday, I doubled. Today I need to double again.
Anyone else having this much blood stolen from their body??

Re: More blood work!
Sorry you'tr going through this! I hate taking out blood especially because my veins are soo thin. The nurses always end up poking me in each arm!
On a side note I noticed we have the same due date! I guess were due date twins!
Yes I had the standard beta series - three draws. But we spaced them out, because I went in so early, so 11 dpo, 16 dpo, 23 dpo.
I'm surprised they are looking for doubling in that short time frame when you are over six weeks. Levels often slow after a certain point and can take anywhere from 48 to 96 hours and still be perfectly normal.
I know how much it sucks to wait for results - I hope they are fast. My midwife has trouble drawing blood (I'm a tough stick, even the experienced lab techs bruise me, so fun), so I'm just relieved she didn't blow the vein the last two times.

I am in the midst of the standard 3-draw easjer mentioned - I have my third tomorrow. I also have to go in on Monday to get my vitamin levels checked and do an oral glucose tolerance test, so there will be lots of sticking in the arm again.
I hope you get some great results! I hate the waiting too.
Yes! I love our EDD too because it's my best friend's birthday!?
Ditto. Don't be scared if it doesn't double. You're definitely in the range where your doubling time is expected to slow. Actually, anything over 1200 tends to slow down.
