If anyone has read/watched the dvd...which do you think is better, the book or dvd? I'm trying to decide which one to buy...TIA!

I read the book, but I'm a big reader. I also figured that it would be easier to flip through a book for reference than to try to fastfoward a DVD.

I had both! The book is a waste IMHO....he just repeats himself over and over. The DVD tells you all you need to know in about 15 minutes!

I read the book but I couldnt figure out some of the motions he suggests to do with the baby so I am going to have to borrow the DVD from a friend to see what he means.

I checked both out from my local library. I liked the book because he went into a lot of explanation.

My husband and I actually got to see Dr. Karp give a presentation about his book about a month ago at the CDC where my husband works. He passed out free DVDs to everyone and even said that the DVD is better than the book because you get to actually see what he's talking about and watch him perform the "5 S's". I really liked his presentation and the DVD shows you what to do instead of you trying to interpret it through reading.
