I have extremely irregular cycles. I was cramping like I always do before my period. Kept testing, continued to be negative. Quit drinking just to be on the safe side (not a big drinker at all). Even though we've been trying for over 6mo. and there was very low chances of bcming pregnant this month.
Then tested yesterday and positive! But then realized today I could be as far as 7 weeks (am going to get an ultrasound to confirm in a couple weeks). Looking back I think I had a total of 10 drinks over the course of the 7 weeks. One night I had 3 beers. The office continues to tell me not to worry but I cannot stop worrying. I am a huge health nut (esp. when it comes to our baby!) I have not drank in the past 6 mo. while trying and thought we missed trying on our ovulation dates this month and now this happens. I am somewhat freakin' out. Please no mean comments, as I know this isn't the ideal situation. Do you know anyone who has had this happen to them?
Re: Alcohol before knowing pregnant
you are totally fine. you were 5 minutes pregnant.
PLEASE do not stress. I promise your baby is just fine. Three beers in one night before 7 weeks isn't going to do a thing.
Do not worry.
I had a girl's night involving a bottle of tequila, lots of cigarettes, and various other things and I was prob 3 weeks pregnant...
Everything's fine here!
( yes, we were surprised!)

My BFP Chart
1.If your doc's office is telling you to relax, why do you continue to worry? I'm going to assume they have some insight into this.
2. Our mothers and grandmothers drank and often smoked throughout their pregnancies, yet . . . here we all are!
3. Throughout human history, alcohol was consumed in major quantities, usually at 2 out of the 3 meals, because it was often safer than water or milk. And humanity has not only survived, but produced amazing feats in art, architecture, engineering, politics, government, religion, music, science and philosophy. I think your child will be ok.
Try to relax at this point and just do the best you can from now on through.
