"It took us 9 cycles (2 ICIs, 4 IUIs with Clomid+trigger, and 3 IUIs with Clomid+injectables+trigger.)"
How long after your trigger did you have the IUI? I read so many different things about the timing of O after trigger, I don't know what to think. My RE said O would be from 12-36 hours after trigger. But I see a lot of other stuff that puts it at 36-48. Any wisdom you care to share?

Ugh - my brain is a bit fuzzy after almost 4 years. But I THINK I did it 36 hours before the IUI. And since we inseminated in the AM (so we could get back to work) I usually did it right before I went to bed.
I tried everything while TTC - having the big O after inseminating (didn't work - or at least I didn't the cycle I actually got pregnant!) - accupuncture (I did this for 3 cycles including the cycle I got pregnant) - switching donors after every few cycles (I got pregnant on my first cycle with a new donor - his counts were MUCH higher than any of the others.) - drinking fertilitea (gross and didn't work.)
Honestly, I think it comes down to 80% luck and 20% timing.

our RE had us do the injection at 36 hours before. the last cycle (the one that actually worked) we forgot about the trigger.
she works nights, and we both realized it after she left. we decided to go ahead anyway, and she did it when she got home in the morning which made it about 25 hours before the iui. we thought for sure it wouldn't work, but it did. we have a friend who was also late on hers the cycle she got pregnant, though not as late as us, but other friends of ours did the timing exactly as they said at 36 hours and it worked for them.
Butting in too-----
We found that 12 hours was a tad early but 36 was pushing it for S's body. We came close to missing ovulation at 36, even missing it entirely once. I was so frustrated I wished we could do 3 IUI's 12, 24 and 36 hours.

Lurker here -- not LGBT, just a friend, and I just saw the new board so I'd thought I'd stop buy and say hello.
I know most of you guys and gals who are TTC have to use IUI and/or other fertility treatments. I'm sure y'all are aware, but there's also the Trouble TTC board. The posters on there are experts on all things fertility treatment related, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you popped in to ask questions. I know several of the ladies conceived through the use of donor sperm, and one or two used gestational surrogates. Or, you can always page me on Success after IF, too (we did 7 IUIs and 1 IVF to have our kiddos).
My IUIs were always 36 hours after trigger. I think that's pretty standard, though some REs do back to back IUIs, too. GL!
