Jakob is playing outside with this annoying girl who lives across the street. He came in a few minutes ago because she wanted a glass of milk. Whatever, we can share.
Now he came in again because she asked for more. I said no. She can have water or go home and get her own damn_milk.
Great. Now I'm THAT mom.
edit: I didn't say damn* in front of the kids
Re: I think I'm the mean mom
ARRGH my problem is these kids without parents who watch them! At the apts it was little Jonathon who would peek in our windows, and spoke perfect english until you told him it was time to go home.
Now this chick. She went home. Now she's ringing the doorbell and asking if she can come in. I say no, because the baby is sleeping. She says, Its okay, I don't make much noise. ARRRGHHHH
Every day Jakob gets home from school. And he's not 5 minutes inside and she's ringing the doorbell, telling him to come outside and play. He says no, I'm going to have a snack first. And then she argues with him!
And she's 9 years old. Why is she playing with a 7 year old boy?
DEEP BREATHS. I feel better
(except now Layna is awake from all the doorbell ringing. *#$%$#$^$&%^)
Maybe she's a cougar-in-training.
rssn, you crack me up!
oh my gosh, we had a girl like that in our old neighborhood. one day she came over, plopped herself down on the couch next to my laptop and TOLD me she was going to use it. Uh, no way chic. Some people!!
We're lucky, Ty has some great friends but I don't think twice about running girls off that come to the door.

Bwahahahah!
I guess I feel bad because I was that kid. My parents kind of sucked, especially when I was younger and I'd really try to seek out attention where ever I could. Most of the kids I was friends with had really nice moms and made me feel special. I have a lot of fond cookies and milk memories from playing with friends.
Our doorbell has been disconnected for over 2 years now. I really do feel everyone with a baby should do it. I originally did it because I work nights and don't like delivery people ringing during the day. It's wonderful.
aw taytee, now I feel guilty.
I do feel bad for the girl, her parents do suck. They're a lesbian couple and they have a foster son who's a holy terror, and then one woman has her teen son there. The girl belongs to the other woman and she's just completely ignored. She's always "falling" off her bike then she just lays on the ground until someone notices her.
She also has Aspergers - so a neighbor told me anyway, I guess she could be wrong. I try to be nice to her, sometimes she can just be a bit too much though. I'll let her have the milk next time...
