I called and tried to schedule a early gender determination with them (considering my couisin in law found out from them at 13 wks) and they wont let me schedule it until 17 weeks.

    Karrey- I told them it was my mom's birthday and we would love to be able to surprise her that night, esp since its her first grandkid.. not really a sob story, but it was a good enough reason!

    wmilton- im totally jealous.. i wish there was another place that did early gender determination! i mean why 17 weeks, crap wait 3 more weeks and you would know anyways!!

    I wonder if it has something to do with how many are undeterminable.  Notice the terms are that if they cant find it they do another one for free.  So the earlier you would go the more chances there would be of not being able to tell and them having to do do-overs for free.  Especially with the ever growing popularity of 4-D u/s.

    i've checked rates at first glimpse and one other place (i think angel prints), and the price for multiples is almost double than a singleton.  i'm just going to stick with MFM and hope they give me some 3D/4D face time. =)

    karrey- i think thats what it is too.. bec they almost made my cousin in law come back bec the baby wasnt moving a whole lot, and in the last couple minutes she did her thing and showed them the goods...

    a- does your ob office do the 4d shots? i know our ob office just started doing it and I think its 150 for one and add'l 25 for each baby after..

    my ob's office does 3D for $225.... you get images on disc and a VHS.  MFM does 4D but it's for diagnostic stuff, not for fun.... one perk of being high risk is insurance covers it. =)

    oh well then I would def wait on that!

    I think I am going to go ahead and schedule a u/s with angel prints for June 5th (they have alot more with their package) and plus the girl was really sweet on the phone, unlike the guy that answered at first glimpse.. and if I find out next friday that they want to do my big u/s on my 18 week apt then i'll just cancel my g.d. u/s!!
