Refusing Bottles-What to do??

My DD rather eat her solids than take her bottle. She will push the bottle away when I try to feed her. I know she gets her milk in cereals but I feel that's not enough. Before she didn' have a problem just started recently refusing the bottles. I tried the sippy cup but no luck. Any suggestions? TIA.

  • Are you giving her the bottles around the same time as solids? I would give the solids in between bottles. Or maybe skip the solids one feeding so she'll take the bottle.

  • I'm giving her a bottle before I feed her solids. She doesn't take the bottle especially before bedtime. I usually give her a bottle around 7 before she goes to bed and the last time I feed her solid is around 4. She would refuse the bottle and rather sleep.

  • Is she teething or maybe have an ear infection?  Noah does that sometimes when he's teething and also when he had an ear infection.  He also did that once and I ended up changing the flow of the nipple...I think it was too slow and he was annoyed.  Good luck...hope she takes that bottle again soon!

  • I think around your DD's age, my DD dropped one bottle but all the other bottles went up about 2 ounces. Maybe she's ready to drop one bottle.
  • I think she is teething and not an ear infection since she is not constantly crying?  Today so far she only has 3 oz of formula since she woke up at 7am. She wouldn't eat cereals this morning. I might change the nipple level to see if it makes any diff. thanks again.
