2nd Trimester

I can't feel my baby!!!

And I am getting really annoyed.  I know there's nothing to worry about because he is really still, even when we're having an ultrasound, he won't move positions when the tech pushes the thing into my belly or anything, but it's still frustrating.  (I've had to do ultrasounds over and over again because the baby wouldn't move so the tech could see something.)

I wish I could feel something.

  • Same thing here. I keep telling the baby "it's okay, you can kick." but nothing

  • Aww, maybe you'll have a good sleeper when he's born!

I did have one movement while typing at my desk that wasn't provoked, but I usually have to poke the crap out of my ute to get a feeling.  It only works every 3 to 4 days and it's barely a little flip type feeling.  I feel your frustration-I am ready to get kicked already!

  • My sister got a little jealous of me because I felt my little guy at around 17/18 weeks. She has NEVER felt her babies kick before 20 weeks, it's usually 20 - 22 weeks (she's on number 5). I can't imagine how frustrated you are!
  • I've tried poking my belly and even that doesn't provoke movement.  This baby isn't listening already and he's not even born yet!  Although the idea of a good sleeper sounds nice.

  • That may be a good thing.  My mom barely felt my brother.  Even at 8 months she would only feel him once every other day (now that wouldn't be acceptable for a Dr, but it was then).  He is a really laid back kid and was a super laid back baby.

  • I can't either. ?But during all of my ultra sounds he moves a lot! ?You can see him kicking and moving all around. ?But I do wonder why I haven't felt anything.
  • i didn't feel anything until about 23-24 wks....it's stinks to wait but worth it!  now it is moving around a lot!!
  • i didn't feel anything until 22 weeks.  i was really nervous before then.  even now though i don't really feel him that much.  maybe a kick or 2 in the AM and same in the PM.  also, he hardly moved at all during the 20-week u/s.  that is why hearing the heartbeat at the monthly dr appts is so comforting.

I'm posting so late, but this is the exact same situation for me!  So comforting to hear that others are in the same situation.
