??? About Maternity clothes at this point...

Anyone else outgrowing their maternity clothes?  I feel like my shirts aren't long enough at this point and some of my pants are starting to get uncomfortable or they are now rolling down under my belly.  At least it's getting warm and dresses still work for the most part.

What are you doing to carry over the last couple of weeks?  I refuse to buy new clothes at 34 weeks...lol

  • I've only outgrown a couple maternity shirts. I bought a very versatile wardrobe early on and it's still working for me.

  • :: raises BOTH hands :: I feel your pain. Thankfully it is finally warming up here so I will be living in dresses.
  • I have maybe only2-3 shirts that are actually long enough for my liking right now.  I bought some wife beater tank tops (guy's ones) that I wear under my shorter shirts.  I also bought a couple maternity tanks to wear under shirts.  I always used to wear a tank under my normal shirt anyway so I can wear those later too.  My pants are still fitting me fine at this point.

i feel that i am starting to outgrow them already too haha and i am not as far along as you- i know i am def not fitting in some of them by the time i get to 34 weeks!

i did go out and buy reg tops that were much larger than the size i used to wear - they are all flowy and meant for summer, beach wear (at old navy- their summer cover ups and short dresses) but they look super cute w/ tight, capri pants (it covers enough of my gigantic butt to wear the stretch pants haha)... and i got at target the other day, some maxi dresses (which i thought i would NEVER wear) but are super cute and they are reg clothes just in much bigger sizes-

everything is stretchy cotton and spandex- thats the only thing that works lately!  the motherhood pants are cutting into my stomach! (even the secret fit ones!) so dresses, skirts and stretch pants for me!

  • Since I was pregnant for most of the winter, I had to buy some cooler clothes at 34 weeks or so when the weather warmed up.

I also bought some mat shorts then for the summer because I figure I won't be wearing last year's shorts this year after just having a baby.

  • I picked up 3 of the extra long tanks at Target to wear under all of the too short stuff, but I am in dresses mostly.
  • i'm in the exact same boat.  shirts aren't covering my belly enough and all my pants roll down under my belly.  i went to good will the other day and found a few XL shirts, but that's about it.  i'm just going to have to suffer through bc i'm not buying anything new!

I actually went a bought a couple more dresses with DD at that point.  No pants really fit comfortably and I was down to rotating between 3-4 dresses so was having to do laundry often.  I figured I'd use the dresses next time around and I have.  so it worked out okay.

  • YES!! I was just talking to my neighbor about this yesterday! I don't know if it's part me growing and part shirt shrinking...but I'm struggling. Lately I'm only comfy in DH's oversized shirts.
  • Some of my shorter shirts are too short, but otherwise I haven't outgrown many shirts.  My pants are another story.  My butt keeps getting bigger and bigger and finally seems to have stopped.  I bought a couple really cheap shirts for $6 or so and got a bag of hand-me-downs from a friend last weekend that will carry me through the end of the pregnancy (I hope).
  • I bought a couple of longer (cheap!) shirts from Target to get me through...and I'm living in dresses! I feel stupid buying anything else, but we're planning on one more kid at least, so hopefully anything I do buy will be worn again :)
  • I feel your pain. A few of my favorite maternity shirts are too short now. There's a couple that I can either wear a tank top or my bella band under to fudge the extra inches. It's not perfect but it works.
  • For casual tops, I went to Target and bought a couple packs of mens Hanes white tee-shirts. They are long enough and people actually say they are cute, lol. Oh yeah, they are really soft and comfy!

Well, a lot of maternity shirts are still too big for me, I'm wearing some maternity tops for the first time this week so I'm hoping this won't happen but who knows.

Can you maybe use the bella band to help hold your pants up? or layer your tops with a long cami?

  • yes, i have outgrown quite a few shirts. I did buy a few shirts in the beginning that were huge, and now they are all I can wear. I am trying to make it with what I have, but my MIL did buy me a few shirts last week.

  • I pretty much have 3 shirts that don't look like I am going to bust out of them. I still wear the others but am constantly pulling them down. Other than that, I wear a lot of dresses and skirts.

  • my mat clothes are still working for me- mainly jeans. i bought a few mat shirts, but mainly i just have other shirts that have worked while pregnant. i am wearing more dresses though since it's getting pretty toasty here.
  • The one good think about bedrest... I can wear whatever I want and no one will ever know.
  • I've started wearing maternity tanks under shirts that are getting too short. I still have a lot of shirts that have enough length though.
