I'm applying for new jobs in the fall (I'm a teacher, and looking to get into a district closer to home). I just printed out all my materials and realized that I totally dropped the ball. I forgot to change my name on my teacher certification when we got married last summer. I'm looking into it now, to see how quick I can get it done.

    It won't matter with your interviews...you can just state that if they have any questions...depending on the state it can take a while especially this time of year with all the new graduating teachers waiting on their certifications

    I know here in Iowa it's pretty quick.  I just did it for my coaching license this year and all I had to do was fax my marriage license into out Dept of Ed and it was to me in about 6 weeks.  I haven't done it with my teaching license because I don't teach, but I think it's about the same.  I also had to pay $85 for it get changed.  I think there is an extension you can get if I remember correctly, but I could be wrong!  GL!

    I'm looking in the southern area of the Poconos. I'm teaching about 2 districts north right now, and I'm hating the commute (especially after being there for 10 hour days).
