Brag about your kid.... go....

So Sara was trying to open a bottle. (An empty baby shampoo one) She was struggling and getting frustrated, close to tears. She's trying to be so?independent, so I didn't want to interfere. I asked her if she wanted help, and she looked up and clearly said "Help" and handed it to me. She's picking up new words so quickly now, it is amazing.?

  • sunday we were at Sears and there were all these waterfalls, one was a bear on a tree and water came out of the tree... Aiden walked up to it and pointed at the bear and said Bear, then at the water and said "wawer"... I didn't even know he knew those words!

  • ds is counting to 5 and starting to form sentences.  picking up words left and right

dd can write an "L" now, can recognize some small words like "red", "dog" , "cup".  She sounds out letters but doesn't always put them together to figure out the word.

  • Parker is so sweet in the mornings.  I will go to get him from his crib and he will hug me and pat my back.  It makes my heart melt.

At night, after storytime, he will go to his crib, try to climb in, and put himself to sleep like a big boy.  I'm so proud of him.

Oh yeah, and he's gorgeous.  Did I mention that?  Wink

  • Carson can count to 3 "one, wwooo, theee"  he is saying new words everyday seems like, last night he pointed to the fridge and said "milk"  he can go up and down the steps pretty good and i never taught him that, i think he got that one from his grandparents house.  and at daycare his teachers say he is very well behaved, gabs up a storm and helps the teacher with lunches all the time (it's a privlage for good behavior).

My son's preschool teacher said he was "brilliant" because he could understand the complex math puzzle she was testing him on.Big Smile

  • I am proud Paige is trying to say new words.  We still don't have many but she is trying and I am proud of her for that!  She has started saying more when she wants us to do something again - whether it is for more food, or more music, or more play outside.  She seems to understand a lot and she is a beautiful girl on the outside and inside - she never meets a stranger!

  • She is such a big helper with her little sister!  She gets me diapers, throws the dirty ones away, rubs lotion on her, rubs her head and says "awwww" when she cries, and holds her hand.  I treasure the moments!  It is the most adorable thing ever.

aaaaawwwww, i love it!  how sweet!
my sil also watches a little girl and has watched her since she was 3 months old (she is 11 months now), Carson is about 9 months older and has always been so sweet to her.  strokes her head, brings her toys when she is crying, it breaks my heart that i never get to see it but it warms my heart to know he is being sweet!

  • BrittneyCC - your story melted my heart!!

Dana has memorized soooo many books! I love that I can just open a page and ask her "What does this page say?" and she can tell me.

  • The other day Kellen was playing beside me on the floor, playing with his trucks.  He started to sing the "abc's" and I was floored!  He only got to D and started over, but still!

This was me when I was Dana's age!  lol.  I would open a book and recite it from memory.  People would freak out b/c they thought I could read.  So funny.

  • On Mother's Day, DH was in the kitchen with DD making breakfast and when he gave her a spoon to eat her cereal, she said "its wet" and wiped the spoon with the towel.  And then when we went out with my dad that night for dinner,  I was feeding her mac n cheese and she pointed to my food and said "rice".  I was so happy that she had said 2 new words that day.  That was the best Mother's Day gift.
